Bangkok, 2 September 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the successful hosting of the “TAT Travel Tech Startup Networking: Together for Future Travel” event, a platform designed to link Travel Tech Startups with tourism operators, investors, and policymakers. The initiative reinforces Thailand’s strategy to position innovation as a driving force for sustainable growth and global competitiveness in tourism.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said “Tourism is entering a new chapter where innovation defines success. By bringing together startups, traditional businesses, and public sector partners, Thailand is shaping a tourism ecosystem that is resilient, forward-looking, and aligned with international sustainability standards. This collaboration enhances visitor experiences while strengthening Thailand’s standing as a global leader in quality tourism.”
Held on 29 August 2025, the programme featured “TAT Vibe Talk – Reboot Tourism with Innovation,” with keynote contributions from leading experts in innovation, aviation, investment promotion, and big data.
Speakers included Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of the National Innovation Agency; Mr. Akkarawit Taphasit, Executive Director of the Tourism Investment Promotion Department at TAT; Dr. Anchalisa Taetrakul, Acting Director of the Travel Link Special Project at the Big Data Institute (Public Organisation); Mr. Surawut Sristhita, Manager of Ancillary and Partnership at Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X; Mr. Tadsawit Intasuwan, Chief Operating Officer of Golfdigg Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Anan Prasertrungreung, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of AIRPORTELs.
A dedicated networking session followed, enabling entrepreneurs and tourism businesses to share insights, form partnerships, and explore new opportunities. More than 100 participants, including Travel Tech Startups, government agencies, online platforms, and international media, attended the event.
Now in its third edition, the TAT Travel Tech Startup initiative has provided a springboard for entrepreneurs applying digital solutions to traveller needs and industry challenges. Past winners have gained exposure and new business opportunities through TAT’s international trade events and tourism campaigns. This latest event marks another step in building an integrated innovation ecosystem to drive Thai tourism towards a sustainable future.
