Tourism Minister strengthens Thailand–China tourism partnership in Beijing

Bangkok, 17 October 2025Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, led a high-level delegation to Beijing to reinforce the Thailand–China tourism partnership and foster new opportunities for collaboration between the two nations’ travel industries. The mission centred on the “Amazing Thailand Networking Dinner”, held on 16 October 2025, which gathered senior representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and China’s leading tourism enterprises.

Joined by Ms. Natthriya Thaweevong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, the visit formed part of Thailand’s proactive “Big Impact, Act Fast” policy. The initiative aims to deliver measurable economic results through strategic cooperation with key international partners, accelerating Thailand’s tourism recovery and reinforcing its position as a preferred long-haul and regional destination.

The dinner brought together major Chinese partners, including UTour, Caissa, Qunar, Tongcheng, China Comfort Tourism (CCT), China Travel Group (CTG), 6renyou, ZX-Tour, Hainan Airlines, and Air China. The gathering also reflected the spirit of “Strategic Connectivity” between Thailand and China as both nations celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations, reaffirming their shared commitment to expanding tourism cooperation and fostering people-to-people connections.

Tourism and Sports Minister Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn attends the networking dinner in Beijing to advance Thailand–China tourism relations under the Big Impact, Act Fast policy.

Mr. Attakorn said the engagement underscored Thailand’s readiness to work closely with Chinese tourism leaders across multiple sectors — including airlines, digital travel platforms, and major tour operators — to restore traveller confidence and drive sustainable growth in Chinese visitor arrivals to Thailand.

The event concluded with a strong mutual commitment to deepen collaboration between Thailand and China. Participants reaffirmed a shared vision within the Thailand–China tourism partnership to enhance air connectivity, co-develop innovative travel experiences, and further promote Thailand’s image as a trusted, high-quality destination for Chinese and international travellers alike.
