Synopsis

The film revolves about three travellers who have a relationship in Thailand. It uncovers their connection goes beyond any companionship or romance; it connects to the locals, community, nature, cuisine, and the country as a whole. Their travels to Thailand transcend a simple trip; they are all engaged in a meaningful and heartfelt relationship that nowhere else can offer like Thailand.

The first journey is narrated by a Latina woman who recounts to her friend the specifics of her trip to Thailand. While staying at a hotel amidst the mountainous scenery of Thailand, she meets a young hotel employee, and the film implies that it’s a romantic encounter. However, he takes her to various tourist destinations, such as Pang Chang, caves, temples, and provincial festivals, providing her with exceptional travel experiences. This marks the beginning of her relationship with Thailand.

Simultaneously, the film portrays the story of a Frenchman and his partner embarking on their journey to Thailand. Reflecting on their experiences in Thailand through photographs and interactions with the locals, they choose to reside in a fishing village by immersing themselves in the local way of life, preserving weaving traditions, and becoming integral members of the community through their shared experiences and cuisine. This prompts the Frenchman to extend his stay in Thailand, thus deepening his connection with the country.

Lastly, we follow the journey of a Korean man who travels to Thailand to capture images for his travel vlog. He takes a boat ride to visit temples, strolls to witness the grandeur of the Chamchuri tree, explores an old town community, interacts with the locals who introduce him to the white horse weaving community, and gains insights into the locals’ way of life.

Each journey in Thailand weaves a story of connection that transcends mere love, encompassing the people, flavours, natural beauty, self-discovery, and places that inspire affection and a desire to protect. This nurtures the profound bond with Thailand and aims to invite new travellers to explore the country together.
