World airports ranking: Hyderabad airport among the top 10

Hyderabad airport is among the top 10 airports in the world ranking

Navigating airports can be stressful, so it makes sense that a quick and easy trip through their often bustling, hectic halls is a top priority for travellers wishing to start their journey off on the right foot. Likewise, an airline’s performance can have a huge impact on our overall experience, so it pays to know who we can truly rely upon. With that in mind, a new global ranking has just been released that outlines the very best airlines and airports in 2019, and the Hyderabad airport has made it to the top 10!
Created by AirHelp, the data-led study looked at a number of performance factors from diverse airlines and airports to determine which ones did the best over the last year. Over 40,000 people from 40 different countries were surveyed on topics such as on-time performance, quality and comfort, and efficiency of claims processing, with the ranking then being created from the data.
The Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport ranks eighth in the list of best performing airports in the world. Opened in 2008, the airport serves as a base for several domestic and international flights- including to London, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport was ranked 24th in the list, while Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport stands ranked 88th.

The lowest ranked included Lisbon Portela Airport, Kuwait International Airport, Eindhoven Airport, Henri Coandă International Airport, Malta International Airport, Manchester Airport, Paris Orly Airport, Porto Airport, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and London Gatwick Airport.
